slice your zucchini in half lengthwise and then cut into half moon shapes about half an inch thick.

fill a pot with a few inches of water and insert steamer basket filled with zucchini slices. bring to a boil and steam for 5 minutes. alternatively, use a microwave steamer basket.

allow zucchini to cool slightly before transferring to a metal baking sheet make sure it's spread out so no pieces stick together and freeze overnight.

once frozen, you can transfer to a Ziplock or Stasher bag where they will keep for up to 6 months. perfect for smoothies!
